Community Integrated Care recognised for its Social Impact

Community Integrated Care is proud to have been shortlisted for two honours at the upcoming Social Impact Awards.

The Social Impact Awards 2013 are a national awards event that “celebrate and reward excellence in charities, not for profit and social enterprise organisations, as well as public and private sector organisations who have made a ‘Big Difference’ in their communities”.

Community Integrated Care’s ground-breaking ‘EachStep’ model of dementia care – which offers cutting-edge integrated dementia care to support people from diagnosis until the end of their lives – has been shortlisted for the Best Innovation Award. Our charity has also been recognised in the ‘Website of the Year’ category for the successes of our website.

The Social Impact Awards are backed by The Big Issue in the North magazine and were judged by the likes of Hazel Blears MP, Alan Beswickhost of the BBC Manchester breakfast show, Kevin Gopal – Editor of Big Issue in the North, and Alice Young – Professor of Social Work at The University of Manchester.

Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care says, “As a charity, our greatest motivation is to make a difference to society, so we are thrilled to be have been shortlisted at the Social Impact Awards. To be recognised for both our forward-thinking, innovative approach to care and the accessibility of our online communications is a tremendous accolade, and something we are very proud of.”

The Social Impact Awards take place in Manchester on Wednesday 1st May.
