A virtual cuppa with The Disability and Physical Activity Collective

Organisations and individuals with an interest in the delivery and evaluation of accessible physical activity options are invited to join The Disability and Physical Activity Collective for a virtual cuppa, at its upcoming learning and networking event.

The Disability and Physical Activity Impact Collective is a collection of organisations that have come together to increase the quality and range of physical activity options for disabled people through shared learning. Community Integrated Care is proudly a member of this group. Together, we are seeking to support the co-production of high-quality evaluation methods and to advocate for and share best practice nationally.

The Collective was formed with a vision of supporting a positive transformation in physical activity opportunities for disabled people, in ways that are right for them, by bringing together representation from across the disability, sport and physical activity, and health and social care sectors. We are actively interested in welcoming new membership from people and groups who share our vision. This informal event will explain how you or your organisation can connect with the group.

It was founded by Sense, Sport England and Disability Rights UK, with membership now including organisations such as Activity Alliance, Community Integrated Care, Leonard Cheshire, Mencap, Traverse, UK Active and University of Essex.

The Collective is hosting a free, informal virtual learning and networking event on 30th March, from 10:30 – 12:30 for organisations and individuals with an interest in the delivery and evaluation of accessible physical activity options.
