A Dream Motorsport Experience With Formula E
Community Integrated Care and Formula E have collaborated to provide an unforgettable experience to three people who draw on care and support at the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix.
Darren from Portsmouth, and Ayaz and Aaron from London, are supported by our charity. The trio had the opportunity to join Formula E’s Community Tour at the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix, after a national search to find our charity’s biggest motorsport fans.
The experience brought the group into the heart of Formula E, giving them the chance to meet teams, drivers and stars from the Championship, explore the cars and technology behind the sport, and enjoy special access to one of the world’s most exciting motorsport events.

Each was selected for the once-in-a-lifetime experience because of their deep passion for cars, motor racing, and Formula E, and because of the powerful impact the experience would have on their confidence, independence, and wellbeing. All three love watching motorsport on television and have been supported to explore their passion in the community, including visits to motoring museums, car exhibitions and events. Stepping into the world of Formula E was described as “a dream come true”.
On the day, Darren, Ayaz and Aaron experienced what it is like to get behind the wheel of a Formula E car through special simulators, and discovered what happens pit-side, enjoying a behind-the-scenes look at elite electric racing. This experience was followed by the chance to attend the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix live from Excel London, with grandstand tickets, seated in the heart of the action.
For Darren, the event marked an incredible personal milestone. Since joining Community Integrated Care this year, he is living independently for the first time and has been supported to explore new interests and opportunities. After a visit to a motor museum sparked a growing love of cars, Darren has proudly brought that passion into his new home and now enjoys following motor events.
Darren said: “I love really fast cars. I was so surprised and excited to go to London to see Formula E with Community Integrated Care. It was the best day.”
John Hughes, Director of Partnerships and Communities at Community Integrated Care, said: “Community Integrated Care’s mission is to enable people to live their Best Life Possible, and this incredible experience with Formula E at the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix truly brought that to life.
“Darren, Aaron and Ayaz have all been supported to discover and follow their passions, goals and interests in life, especially their love of cars and racing. As a charity, we pride ourselves on developing partnerships and experiences that help people to enjoy their greatest dreams, build confidence and fulfil their potential.
“Formula E’s commitment to delivering real inclusion, and creating such a special experience for Darren, Ayaz, Aaron and their guests, was truly inspiring. They created memories that will never be forgotten.”
Julia Palle, VP, Sustainability at Formula E, said: “Formula E is fully committed to creating real social impact and ensuring that our sport is accessible to all. We were delighted to partner with Community Integrated Care as part of our wider global community engagement activities and support their work with people with learning disabilities.”
“The Best Life Possible mission is incredibly powerful, and it was our privilege to help Darren, Aaron and Ayaz connect with a passion that means so much to them. Three inspiring individuals; their excitement in London as they experienced the magic of Formula E up close was hugely special. We thank them for joining us and their support teams for helping to make the day possible.”
