In their latest Care Inspectorate reports, all three teams achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating in ‘How well do we support people’s wellbeing?’

From supporting people to volunteer and gain paid employment, to enabling people to take part in hobbies and interests they enjoy and creating communities through shared initiatives such as walking groups and community projects – the teams are making a big difference in people’s lives.

Following their visit to Slains, inspectors said, “People appeared very settled and comfortable in their home. There was a relaxed and social feel, and people had the freedom to choose where they spent their time and what they did. The team had created a home life that encouraged people to live well.”

This resulted in many meaningful conversations that fully engaged people, and it was clear that positive relationships had formed with staff.”

Inspectors also highlighted positive feedback from families at Auchmore Road, noting, “Families told us that care and support was very good. One family member said they were ‘extremely happy with the service’. As a result, people were respected and treated with dignity.”

Meanwhile, impressed with how the team at Caroline’s Crescent supported people to follow their interests, the inspectors said, “The service recognised the importance of meaningful activity and supported people to pursue their interests, such as attending church, men’s shed, and walking groups.”
