Celebrating Our London Marathon Team
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce a major milestone in our charity’s history – we are delighted to celebrate having our biggest ever official team of runners, representing and fundraising for our charity in the 2026 TCS London Marathon.

In a year where over 1.2 million people applied to take part in this iconic global event, our charity has secured 12 coveted Gold Bond places every year for the next four years. This incredible achievement means we can now bring more colleagues, partners and supporters together on one of the world’s greatest sporting stages, united in raising funds and awareness for our Best Lives Possible mission.
On 26 April 2026, four of our colleagues will take on the 26.2 mile challenge, representing Community Integrated Care alongside supporters of our charity and representatives from our vibrant network of partners, including the Lawn Tennis Association and the Rugby Football League.
Every penny raised by our runners will help fund lifechanging programmes that tackle social, financial and health inequalities for people with disabilities, across the UK – including What To Do, Care to Cook, Speak Up For Safety and inclusive sports and physical activity. These initiatives all give people the tools, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive.
Jim Kane, Chief Executive Officer of Community Integrated Care, said, “We’re incredibly proud and grateful to the team taking on the London Marathon for Community Integrated Care this year. This represents so much more than a race – it’s a celebration of the passion, dedication and partnership that drives our charity forward every day.”
He continued, “The funds raised will directly support programmes that change lives, promote inclusion and create new opportunities for people with support needs, across the UK. I’m inspired by each of our runners – their participation symbolises a powerful commitment to collaboration, inclusion and changing lives through shared purpose. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
An inspiring team of colleagues and supporters
Amongst our team of runners, we’re proud to have four colleagues representing our organisation – Aiden Robertson, Learning and Development Specialist; Kurtis Marsh, Sports Inclusion Team Leader; Luke Parry, Senior Programmes and Partnerships Development Manager and Natalie Powell, Senior Capability Development Manager.
We’re also delighted to be joined by eight runners who are partners and supporters of our charity – our Ambassador and Rugby League legend, Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE; Anthony Atherton and Tom Brady from Rugby Football League; Charlie Shephard from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and charity supporters – Charles Westmoreland, Freddie Munro, Jude Magno and Kieran Brady.
Our runners will be sharing updates, stories and fundraising progress in the coming months. Find out more and support them here!
