We Launch Best Lives, Bolder!

Community Integrated Care has today unveiled our ambitious new five-year strategy, ‘Best Lives, Bolder’, setting out our powerful vision for the future of our charity and the people we support. 

Developed in collaboration with colleagues, people we support and their families, ‘Best Lives, Bolder’ represents the next chapter in our evolution – building upon the strong foundations of our Best Lives Possible mission. 

Launched in 2021, Best Lives Possible united colleagues across our charity behind a single purpose: to ensure that the people they support, and those who support them, live the best lives possible. The strategy focused on building a motivated, compassionate workforce and strengthening our culture and impact. 

Best Lives, Bolder celebrates our achievements over the past five years – including growth, sector leadership, and innovation – while setting out a bold vision for the years ahead, centred around four key priorities: 

• Excellence – Raising standards in social care and delivering outstanding personalised support that enables independence, wellbeing and fulfilment.  

• Reach – Growing sustainably and reaching more people, reducing reliance on traditional funding, and reinvesting in innovation.  

• Influence – Being a voice for change – using evidence and expertise to drive improvements, shape policy and challenge the inequalities faced by people with support needs.   

• Enabling – Investing in colleagues, systems and workplace culture to ensure the organisation is fit for the future. 

Jim Kane, Chief Executive Officer at Community Integrated Care, said: “This new strategy is about raising our sights and believing that we can make an even bigger difference for the people we support. Every day, I see the compassion, dedication, and creativity of our colleagues – and Best Lives, Bolder is about giving them the tools and confidence to go even further. 

“We know that for too many people, the current social care system still doesn’t deliver the opportunities, rights, or respect they deserve – and that’s something we cannot accept. Our ambition is to challenge that, to stand alongside people, and to keep pushing for a fairer, more inclusive society.  

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together so far, but even more excited about what’s to come. Together, we’re shaping a future where everyone can live their best life possible – in a bolder way than ever before.” 

To celebrate the launch, we premiered a special video created with people we support and colleagues from across England and Scotland, shared in a series of virtual events with over 6,500 colleagues nationwide:
