We’re Marking Black History Month

As October begins, Community Integrated Care is proud to be marking Black History Month.

This year’s theme ‘Standing Firm in Power and Pride’ focusses on the profound contributions made by Black people while also looking towards a future of continued empowerment, unity, and growth.

There are plenty of ways to get involved with the month and learn more and we’ve compiled them together for our colleagues to share with the people they support. These resources are designed to engage the people we support, providing them with the opportunity to celebrate and learn more about Black History Month.

We will also be hosting a very special What To Do session with rapper and producer Nutty P celebrating Hip Hop and showcasing key elements of the culture, on our exclusive online events platform, www.what-to-do.co.uk.

We are encouraging colleagues to share their stories, experiences and what Black History Month means to them to encourage meaningful conversations across our charity.

Along with these celebrations, we look forward to continuing our work with our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Network, to make our charity a space that is inclusive, fair and equal to all.
