Two Highly Commended Teams At GB Care Awards

Community Integrated Care was proud to celebrate recognition for two of our finalists at the Great British Care Awards National Finals, held in Birmingham on Friday 27th February.

The prestigious event brought together inspiring colleagues, teams and projects from across the social care sector to honour excellence, innovation and outstanding impact.

This year, Community Integrated Care was delighted to have five finalists represented across a range of categories. We were thrilled that two of these finalists received Highly Commended recognition on the night.

This commendation highlights their exceptional dedication over the past year -particularly their advocacy for Frederico, a person they support, who recently underwent life‑changing surgery. By using their deep understanding of his needs and committing wholeheartedly to his wellbeing, the team ensured he received crucial medical treatment. Frederico is now back home and thriving, demonstrating the profound difference their person‑centred approach has made.

Judges praised the team, saying, “The team’s passion for person-centred care was evident in every word they shared, bringing a sense of authenticity and purpose. It was clear that their commitment is deeply held, driven by compassion and a strong belief in making a real difference in people’s lives. The insight, warmth, and conviction demonstrated was inspiring and reflects the very best of the sector.”
