Nature and Wildlife: Leading Change Through Connection
Community Integrated Care understands that nature is a deep source of wellbeing and joy, and a powerful catalyst for inclusion, empowerment, and independence.
That’s why we lead the way championing the power of nature in social care, and supporting a more sustainable future.
Inclusion through nature
We’ve pioneered national programmes that utilise the natural world to enrich social care through bold partnerships and sector-leading resources.
Save Our Wild Isles
Community Integrated Care was proudly to social care partner of Save Our Wild Isles, collaborating with RSPB, WWF and National Trust to lead environmental impacts inspired by Sir David Attenborough’s acclaimed film documentary series. We developed first-of-their-kind training, programmes and experiences including:
- Walk With Nature– A national programme of health transforming, inclusive walks that empower comfort, joy and stimulation through a sensory connection with nature.
- Sensory Gardens Made Simple – A first of its kind guide to creating low cost, accessible, nature boosting gardens.
- Memories and creations of nature – Our arts-based charity, Age Exchange, created brilliant arts and reminiscence toolkits that empowered care homes across Britain.
This programme was proudly named the Scotland’s Care Innovation of the Year at the Great British Care Awards.
