Community Integrated Care joins Association for Real Change

National social care charity Community Integrated Care is proud to announce its membership of the Association for Real Change (ARC).

ARC LogoARC is a national organisation that champions high quality, person-centered support for people with learning disabilities, through campaigns, research and partnerships with care providers.

Community Integrated Care has joined the organisation as part of its new Five Year Strategy, which has seen the charity commit to becoming ‘The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity’ over the coming five years. Amongst the objectives of Community Integrated Care’s new strategy is to champion ‘Customer Focus’, ensuring that the people they support have complete direction over the services they receive and their rightful stake in society, and to build lasting strategic partnerships with key organisations in the social care sector, such as ARC.

Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care, says: “Association for Real Change puts the rights of people with learning disabilities at the forefront of all that they do; similarly, Community Integrated Care is committed to becoming the UK’s leading care provider, championing the rights and inclusion of the people we support. We are committed to becoming an active supporter of ARC and are excited at the possibilities of this partnership.”

Jacqueline Bell, CEO at ARK UKJacqueline Bell, CEO at ARC UK, is very happy to welcome CIC to ARC, saying: “Community Integrated Care’s Charter commitment to providing care and support delivered with respect, dignity and courtesy and their determination to make sure that every person uses their right to influence the decisions that impact on their lives, certainly chimes with ARC’s own Code of Practice, and really reflects the draft Driving Up Quality Code, set to be launched in September 2013 for providers across England.”

“We’re looking forward to collaborating with Community Integrated Care and working together to build on their passion to provide high quality, values-led services.”
